Home Automation
Let's face it, most of us live a fast-paced, hectic lifestyle where time is a precious commodity and anything that can save us time we welcome with open arms. Home Automation is designed to do exactly that. It gives you the ability to integrate and activate household electronic components such as interior and exterior lighting, a security system, whole house audio and video, irrigation systems, thermostats, appliances, and CCTV (just to name a few) all from a touch of a button. Imagine waking up in the morning and from the moment your alarm goes off, lights automatically come on, the shades automatically adjust to the position of the sun outside, the coffeepot begins brewing downstairs, and your favorite jazz CD starts to play softly in your bathroom. All of this before your feet even touch the floor.

Multi-Room Audio
A multizone control system is essentially a switch box that allows you to send a selected source (CD, FM radio, tape, etc.) to a specific room in your home. The control system can be a device that sends a line-level signal to an amplifier in the remote room(s), or it can have built-in amplifiers that send speaker level signals to the selected rooms(s). All of these types of systems allow you to listen to different sources simultaneously in different zones and are available in many configurations from four to as many as eight or more zones.

Security System
Home security systems are a great way to provide peace of mind. A home security system will not only protect your family while at home, they can often provide a quick link to the authorities while you're away if your system is monitored. Home security systems are used to ensure the safety of your home and family and therefore everybody wants to have the best system in their house. Home security systems are very effective and easy to use.
Installing home security systems can either be done yourself or you can contact an alarm installation expert in your area. This is dependent on your comfort level and skill. Installing wireless security cameras in your home is a fantastic way of getting eyes and ears everywhere in your home! These cameras are so small nobody will even notice them. Home automation systems are pre-programmed to your specific needs and preferences. These can be based on factors such as time of day, sunlight level, intrusion, your current mood, your movements within the house, or whether you are at home or out. Sensors in and around the house together with a central computer automatically controls heating and cooling, lights, irrigation and water features, security beams and locks, audio-visual equipment and even blinds, curtains and skylights.

Climate Control, Lighting Control,
When selecting a thermostat it is important to insure that you select units compatible with your HVAC systems. The advance thermostats are of two type conventional gas & oil fired systems, as well as for Heat Pump systems. These Smart thermostats are intended as replacements for conventional thermostats and are connected to your HVAC system in the same manner of the conventional thermostat. The Communicating and Digital Contact thermostats also require between 2 and 4 wires to communicate with their respective system controllers. Cat 5 cable is excellent for this application.
There are some types of high-end systems that come directly with sophisticated lighting control subsystems. Additionally to that, you will get all the key components for a complete home automation system that you can customize according to your needs and wishes. Other types of home automation systems are less expensive, but the truth of the matter is that the only thing you will get for such a small amount of money you invested is a security, lighting and temperature control package. You will have to add the other modules on your own expenses. It is very much like a Do-It-Yourself toolkit that you can play around with. Not to speak about the integrated control of audio and video gear! This may cost a small fortune, if you asked me.The fact is that not all people are fans of these DIY things. People are much more interested in pre-programmed or plug-and-play systems.
